Finance Team Leader / Manager Leeds City Centre £22,000 - £25,000 per annum dependant on experience My Client a professional organisation are looking for a Finance Team Leader to join their Customer Service Team, ensure productivity is at a maximum output, monitor and manage operational resource and ensure that service levels are met. Main Duties: ````` Overall supervision of Bank Reconciliation and Money Transfer team. Giving support to the team on a daily basis, coaching and training where necessary. Provide cover for the Finance Operations Manager and Deputy Operations Manager. To identify and deliver service improvement activity across the department through the application of innovative thinking. Resolution of issues that cannot be dealt with by more junior members of the team. Ensuring records are maintained that comply with the requirements of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers. To support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within processes and identification of better ways of working. To work with other team members to devise new support material based on the revised processes, to include training, reporting and systems enhancements. Other ad-hoc assignments as and when required by senior finance staff. Skills and Experience Required: Previous Team Leader or Management experience within a busy finance function, preferably for an organisation regulated by the Law Society or the Council for Licensed Conveyancers. Knowledge of, or willingness to acquire knowledge, of the accounting rules required by such regulation. Process control and development to ensure the department is working effectively. Produce control documents for internal / external audit. Support and free up time of senior finance staff for testing of new Accounts system and BAU. Assist senior finance staff around monthly bottlenecks. Succession planning for senior roles within finance operations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Numerate and assertive with good attention to detail. Demonstrates and promotes professional and positive behaviour at all times paying particular attention to attendance, punctuality and dress code. Displays a flexible, adaptable approach and always rises to new challenges. Ability to meet tight deadlines & work under pressure whilst managing and supervising the workload of a small team.
