HEAD CHEF ADVERT Artizian is a fresh food company, also providing support services, aiming to be a benchmark caterer for blue chip companies. We currently have an opportunity for an established Head Chef to run a busy operation in a prestigious publishing contract in Kings Cross, including a restaurant, a coffee/grab & go area, and meeting room hospitality. This ‘hands on’ role will involve the development of the food offer and managing a team of four chefs. The ideal candidate will ideally have: · Strong financial and operational ability · Experience in the contract catering industry at Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef. · The ability to lead & motivate a team to maximise performance and efficiencies. · Hospitality/event catering experience. · A personality that can span differing levels of staff, client and customers; & maximise excellent working relationships. · A good understanding of people management skills within today’s employment legislation. · Very good knowledge and implementation of food safety and health and safety legislation As this is a ‘hands on’ role, a confident, friendly, professional personality is an absolute must. Key skills required are: · Knowledge of current food trends – the demographic of this contract is young, on trend and always looking for innovation · A true passion for great food and service. · A professional, self-motivated individual · Excellent communication skills – written and oral · Ability to lead and drive teams · A very keen eye for detail · The ability to work on own initiative and be highly responsive to unit and client requirements · Computer literate (Microsoft Office – word, excel, outlook) · A proven track record in driving sales through marketing & promotional activity · Innovative thinker and brilliant at identifying opportunities The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a growing business.
