Overview
Large Edinburgh based builder developer seeks Quantity Surveyor to join their busy team. Your new company Our client are a well established growing residential builder developer based in Edinburgh. With a significant amount of flatted developments in their pipeline they are seeking to add at least one if not two project quantity surveyors to their commercial team. Your initial project will be based in Edinburgh City Centre and you will be based between there and our clients modern office in Western Edinburgh. Your new role As project quantity surveyor you will take control of your own residential development and along with your operations team deliver it according to budget and programme. Ranging in value from £3million to £30million our client has exceptional capability in this space and has a long list of satisfied clients in this sector covering both the public and private sector. Reporting to an exceptional commercial management team you will ensure your project achieves targeted commercial outcomes. This will be achieved by effective negotiation with your subcontractor base, commercially savvy management of head and subcontracts and excellent communication with all stakeholders in your project. What you'll need to succeed Our client are seeking candidates with expertise in flatted development or commercial construction space with decent project portfolio behind them. You will have demonstrated expertise in all facets of running a project and you are ideally working in this space for a recognised builder already.
