ARM are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer with experience of Maritime Systems for a permanent opportunity with a world leading defence company in Portsmouth. The main responsibility of the Systems Engineer based in Portsdown Hill will be to; Maintain, deliver and enhance maritime military assets. Support key strategic projects from early concept through to transition into service. Take on significant responsibility, often leading specific areas or development of sub-systems. Utilise your strong systems engineering knowledge across a broad application of systems engineering from establishing user needs through to final delivery – either developing or utilising whole lifecycle experience. The ideal Systems Engineer able to work in Portsmouth will have experience of the following; Ideally one of the below domains; Radar systems – including hardware & software elements Radio frequency transmission systems Sonar systems and underwater acoustics Electromagnetic measurement systems Underwater and/or littoral environments Experience delivering integrated outputs to contracted time, cost and quality restraints Developing, evaluating and selecting appropriate technical solutions Excellent systems engineering knowledge, ideally full lifecycle Due to the nature of this role, only individuals eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance are able to be considered.
