SC Cleared Senior IT Server & Systems Engineer Contract to run until end of Sept 2020 Up to £620 p/day Portsmouth Specific Responsibilities My client is looking for a Senior IT/Server Engineer to lead the development activities of an IT project. Working under a Technical Lead and Project Manager, the role will be responsible for the technical design and delivery of the Server and Client Infrastructure. The project is building on an existing system so there are already substantial amounts of artefacts to work from. A strong technical background is required to ensure that the candidate can pick up the design elements quickly. The successful applicant must be a confident communicator and able to self-manage. The home site will be in the Portsmouth area but travel to Malvern will be required in support of the delivery. Knowledge, skills and Personal Qualities Required We are looking for a proactive candidate with a proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise wide IT systems. The candidate must have demonstrable experience working at a senior engineer level and is comfortable communicating with stakeholders and project staff. Challenges Designing effective solutions, including considerations for strategy, people, process and technology. Ability to work effectively across matrix organisation structures. Ability to lead technical activities across multiple sites. Communication to key stakeholders. Key Accountabilities Responsible for technical design and delivery of Server and Client Infrastructure. Responsible for managing the technical output of Server and Client Infrastructure. Working with Project Managers and Technical Leads to ensure tasks are completed to time, cost and quality. Act as the technical focus point for Server and Client Infrastructure within projects, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure successful completion of tasks. Proactive engagement with client Technical Assurance.
