Are you a dynamic individual with strong technical expertise looking for your next challenge? My client is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer who will successfully apply their technical knowledge and innovation to the development of current and future military-specific communications systems. You will lead, plan and structure your team's work and engage directly with clients, stakeholders. The company's Secure Comms and Network Group are renowned for providing high quality, independent technical advice to the MOD in support of many of their major procurement programmes. They are looking for dedicated people and experts in defence, aerospace, security and related markets. Key responsibilities: Undertake design, development, system integration, testing and acceptance activities on communications systems. Development of architecture solutions. Production of technical reports Evaluation of equipment in lab environments Integration in military and commercial platforms. Communications technology is constantly evolving, and this role offers you the opportunity to understand and get hands on with the latest technology - and help us ensure our clients can deploy it in current and future projects. About you: The ideal candidate is holding an engineering, science or communications degree, with experience of communications systems and architectures. Systems knowledge should include RF or comms systems. Able to use engineering tools such as MATLAB, Simulink and LabVIEW. Good understanding of systems engineering principles. You will demonstrate the ability to work as part of a multi-functional team and be able to quickly learn and adapt new and existing technologies. Communications Systems Engineer Base: Portsmouth Permanent Salary: Competitive benefits The role will require all employees to achieve and maintain SC security clearance or above without restrictions that will inhibit the individual's ability to fulfil the requirements of the role. Your eligibility for the appropriate level of security clearance may be discussed with you during the recruitment process. Any existing clearance holders may be able to transfer clearance (subject to approval).
