The company has more than 1300 employees worldwide predominately based across China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, US and the UK. They have recently opened their new Research and Development centre and now looking for ambitious, talented individuals to join the expanding team. In this IC Validation Engineer position you will be responsible for the validation of new ICs, to ensure the implementation and manufacture meets with the original specifications. The challenges will include improving total coverage and effectiveness for validation of the IPs contained, the ICs themselves, as well as the sub-systems they reside in. The main duties of this fantastic IC Validation Engineer job are: Validate new generation of capacitive touch controller ICs Evaluate the performance and fitness for purpose of products Provide and share product configuration guidance to the FW, application and Design in community Create evaluation environments to test and characterise touch IC, digital and analogue IP Work closely with other team members to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects Provide timely planning data and feedback Keep up to date with latest developments in technology and design methodologies To provide clear and adequate documentation To adhere to all prevalent company design rules, QA guidelines, and codes of practice The technical skillset required to be successful in your application for this IC Validation Engineer job are: IC design knowledge awareness, appreciation of deep sub-micron CMOS designs, as well as PCB design principles Ability to read electronic datasheets and understand graphs and specifications of devices. Expertise in the use of electronic measurement equipment (Oscilloscopes, Voltage Meters, Current Meters, Signal Generators etc) Lab work including soldering/instrumenting systems for test or debug, use of data science platforms and databases Understanding of the basic digital building blocks. For example, embedded processors (RISC-V preferable), bus architectures, SPI, I2C. Low power, multi-voltage device know how will be an added advantage Principles for the testing and characterisation of analogue circuits associated with clock generation (OSC, PLL, DLL), power regulation (LDO, DCDC, DIODE) and datapath/ conversion circuits (OPAMP, ADC) Knowledge of DfT, DfM, Silicon Debug, Failure analysis and methodologies BEng Electronics Engineering or equivalent This is an unbelievable opportunity for talent, ambitious and skilled IC Validation Engineers that are looking to take their career to the next level whilst working within a growing organisation.
