Job Description
Fareham College offers brand new state of the art facilities comprised of workshops, teaching classrooms, learning resource centres, restaurants, a theatre, a hair & beauty salon and associated facilities. In November 2017, the College received an 'Outstanding' judgement in its latest Ofsted inspection, making it only one of three colleges in the country to have converted to the highest grade in more than two years. The successful candidate will be a member of a team of over 300 academic and business support staff. The Students and Improvement Department is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with experience of the HE/FE sector. Role Purpose The Health & Wellbeing Officer will be in post to support the Health and Well-Being of students during term time only. Duties * To triage and assess students with mental health, anxiety and other vulnerabilities and refer on as appropriate * Refer on safeguarding concerns to the safeguarding team * To support individual students on a one: one basis to develop their emotional health and well-being * To devise support plans to support vulnerable students within the College, considering external and internal interventions within the plan and liaising with parents, carers and others as appropriate Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required * Mental Health qualification and demonstrable level of experience of working in HE/FE sector. * Psychology/education (supporting/teaching) qualification * Significant experience of supporting children and vulnerable adults * Effective knowledge of Safeguarding processes and procedures. * Excellent organisational skills If you are an experienced professional looking to share your knowledge in a rewarding and exciting?learning environment we would love to hear from you.
