Job Summary Job Title: Support Worker Location: Vallance Gardens – Hove, BN3 2DD. Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £8.30 per hour Information: This role is shift work. If this sounds great to you… Then you’re just what we’re looking for and we’d like to hear from you What do our Support Workers do? Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. Vallance Gardens is a residential service for adults aged 18 with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), communication and sensory impairments and complex health needs including epilepsy. At Vallance Gardens people are supported to live active lives and can take part in a wide range of social and leisure activities. This includes activities in the local community such as visiting the cinema, using the local hydropool, gym sessions and use of local day centres. What experience do you need? You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
