Looking for a Childcare Support Worker to work at a Specialist residential home for young adults and children who have complex needs based in Hove. This care groups aim is to enable young people and children to be more integrated individuals, thrive in a family setting or succeed in living independently, and become a valued member of their community in later life. Childcare Support Worker job in brief: £8.30- 9.00 per hour doe Full and Part time hours available 7.30am-3.30pm and 2.30pm-10.30pm shifts Sleep Ins required as agreed with manager Childcare Support Worker Job Duties: Assist in supporting each child or young person to gain a positive experience of being looked after and educated throughout their placement. Provide opportunities for each child or young person to gain an experience of being cared for and educated in a positive, real, and meaningful way. Act as a positive role model for the children and young people both within the home and when supporting them within their local community. Assisting with the provision of play, creativity and activities within the home, including celebrations and festivities. Childcare Support Worker Experience required: No care experience required but must show a passion for care. Knowledge and a working understanding of good childcare practice and healthy child development. Ability to work in a residential home for children and young people with social, emotional, behavioural difficulties, trauma, and complex needs. Insight into the needs of children and young people living in the care system Experience of encouraging children and young people to develop their full potential. Desirable - Understanding of the requirements of OFSTED and other regulatory bodies. Childcare Support Worker Benefits: Special bank-holiday bonus Transition to Therapeutic Carer position and salary scale after successful completion of 6-month basic training.
