Overview

At Carewatch our vision is to deliver outstanding community care and support services to our customers. The customers our carers visit every day have a wide range of care needs. So we are looking for carers who are empathetic, understanding and compassionate. We pride ourselves on our Care Assistants providing our customers with high quality care to enable them to remain independent within their own homes. Whether you have experience or are new to care, we provide you with full training and ongoing support to enable you to develop and learn new skills. You will need a car for the majority of our work, although we have a few walking runs too. We are now recruiting for Community Care Assistants in Kilwinning to work on a two week rota: Week 1-Wed/Thurs/Fri split shifts early and late (7am-10pm) Week 2 -Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun split shifts early and late (7am-10pm). The Role: As a Community Care Assistant your tasks would include: Assisting customers with their daily living needs Personal Care Medication Meal Preparation Shopping Cleaning and more We do require you to: Have a genuine desire to help others Be punctual and flexible Have the confidence to work alone and as part of a team Be able to travel between customers homes We will support you with: Scottish Living Wage The opportunity to study for career development Flexible working hours Free uniforms 28 days paid holidays (FTE pro rata for part time) Paid specialist and refresher training You will be fully supported with practical and emotional help from our friendly office-based teams to help you confidently deliver care. This role is subject to a Disclosure Scotland PVG membership and you will need to provide proof of a full UK driving licence and your right to reside and work in the UK. From October 2017 as a care support worker in Scotland you will be required to register within 60 days with SSSC. More information available at interview.
