Lead Pharmacy Technician Medicines homecare

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Lead Pharmacy Technician to work within our expanding Medicines Homecare team. As a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Homecare, you will work closely alongside a team of experienced technical, professional and homecare administration staff to maintain and develop a high standard of Medicines Homecare to patients with often long term and complex conditions who receive their medication at home. The role will involve direct patient communication, liaison with clinicians, clinical pharmacists and nurse specialists as well as external homecare and pharmaceutical companies. You must be a qualified pharmacy technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council with excellent organisational skills and the desire to provide a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to our patients. You must be able to work under pressure, prioritise work and be able to work alone as well as part of a team. You will also help the Chief technician - Medicines Homecare supervise and manage other members of the team. The Pharmacy homecare team sits within the wider Pharmacy Medicines Finance Team. We are a friendly, hard-working team who are an important part of the hospital Pharmacy department. The role also includes a regular operational commitment in order to maintain competencies and demonstrate fitness to practice as a registered pharmacy technician.
