Health Care Assistant We have fantastic opportunity in Altrincham with flexible working hours working. Responsibilities The Home is a 37 bedded nursing home which offers a pleasant and caring atmosphere, ensuring residents feel welcome, relaxed and secure whilst receiving care and compassion during the later stages of their lives. Job Role: To provide residents with the highest standard of quality care and support, in accordance with the individual care plan. To act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the home. To act as a role model for other care staff in respect of day to day activities with particular emphasis on attaining Standard and Framework in Health and Social Care. To educate and enable other care staff to practice skills under direct supervision until competent. To work at all times in ways which demonstrate an active understanding of the principles of the with appropriate guidance from senior staff. To facilitate in the admission of new residents. To support senior staff, where appropriate, to carry out their clinical responsibilities for residents. To assist qualified staff in the on-going assessment of residents, reporting any changes to the person in charge. To adopt a neat, clean and tidy appearance at all times and wear the appropriate uniform as supplied by the Home/Care Centre. To carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard to the Health and Safety of self, colleagues, residents and visitors to the Home. Candidate Profile A current DBS (within the past year) or Subscribed to the Update Service Ability to work under pressure and use Initiative Have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in a Carer Support role Understands the importance following clinical guidelines and safe working practices Up to date certificates/qualifications such as Fist Aid, Health & Safety, Moving and handling ETC Benefits Flexible working hours and shifts Holiday Pay Weekly Pay Free training provided Career progression Bonus for friend referrals Cucumber recruitment specialise in temporary recruitment to major healthcare providers across the UK.
