Overview
Head of Engineering Overview: A global fintech producing powerful data driven enterprise level software products are recruiting for an experienced Head of Engineeringto manage the daily operations of the Engineering function. 'Our software developers produce the next generation cutting-edge systems that helps the business grow at an incredible pace. We deal in market-leading commodities, trade, billings, and related systems and continue to introduce new complex business applications’. The teams work with a number of different frameworks, using emerging practices and paradigms and be developing products for both desktop and mobile platforms. Role & Responsibilities: Manage the day to day operations of the engineering teams This is not a hands on coding role, however you will be required to get involved at code level from time to time to help educate the team on best practice Play a proactive role in proposing technologies, tools & approaches Identify and manage engagement risks and flag major issues early Ensure adequate process control Essential Skills & Experience: Demonstrable experience as Head of Engineering with experience in managing between 5 -10 teams of mixed capability, providing leadership and coaching Experience within an Agile environment Senior stakeholder management skills .NET, C# in a modern web development environment Package: Very competitive basic salary Annual Bonus scheme Stakeholder pension (up to 10% company contribution if 5% employee contribution) Private healthcare Excellent benefits package Head of Engineering
