Overview

Would you like the opportunity to work for a market leading international recruitment business? Our clients are looking for a Legal and compliance advisor to provide project support in management of the contract update review and management process taking place across the business. Management of the contracting process from inception to completion (with support and training being provided from our consultant in-house counsel, Finance Director and Compliance Team). The ideal candidate would be able to contribute not only legal knowledge, but also commercial focus and judgment in day to day support of the business. Key Responsibilities: Reviewing and assessing suitability/acceptability of client’s proposed terms of business in accordance with standard criteria. Negotiating and drafting client agreements, achieving a balance between limiting risk and achieving commercial sales objectives. Liaising directly with internal contacts to facilitate conclusion of terms. Effecting tracking and providing regular reports on the status of contracts currently under review. Liaising with the Compliance Team to provide details of any client policies. Drafting internal documents for supplier contracts to ensure relevant clauses are flowed down the supply chain. Creating internal documents (e.g. "mirrors") featuring the clauses from end client contracts which need to be 'flowed-down’ to contractors. Ensuring the company is compliant with legislation and regulations and conducting legal research on the same, including the Conduct Regulations, IR35, AWR, etc. Liaising with the Compliance and Finance Team ensuring that any deal pending a resolution of client terms can be sent out as soon as practicable. Dealing with day to day queries from the business on contractual and compliance and ad hoc matters. Person Specification: Essential: Proven current experience of providing legal and commercial support to a complex and/or demanding client base Excellent knowledge of reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts Law degree Desirable: Experience within the recruitment industry or other sales-orientated industry Experience of working in a busy role managing multiple matters simultaneously 'Get stuck in’ approach - take ownership of the role Quick learner with the ability to grasp wider impact/dependencies Resilient with strong communication skills Excellent attention to detail Confident and able to build credibility Strong time management/priority management skills Measured yet able to make quick decisions
