This team provides IT systems and support to the Royal Navy, allowing you to get involved with a wide variety of technologies and environments. The purpose of the IT Technical Architect is to have a direct impact on our client's ability to support the Royal Navy's decision-making ability in leading complex IT projects through: requirements definition; architecture; design; implementation; and delivery into service. Essential requirements Proactive person Proven track record of designing & delivering enterprise IT systems Demonstrable experience working as a technical architect Comfortable managing stakeholders Pushing project teams to deliver Key Accountabilities Responsible for overall technical design and delivery of IT Projects. Responsible for managing the technical output of project team members. Working with Project Managers to ensure tasks are completed to time, cost and quality. Act as the technical focus point for the project, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects. Proactive engagement with Technical Assurance. Desirable Qualifications Relevant IT Architecture certification(s) e.g. TOGAF Relevant IT Technical certification(s), e.g. VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA\MCSE Experience of Cloud technologies Experience of Service Delivery, ITIL Ability to gain high level security clearance It is essential you are currently hold or are able to achieve and maintain SC clearance. Travel to other UK sites is essential.
