Overview

My Dudley based client are looking for a versatile Tool Maker on a permanent basis. The role is crucial to the business, being a member of the tool shop team, making a variety of tools (press and precision) of varying degrees of intricacy, whilst supporting on Low Volume and High Value projects for customers. The successful Tool Maker will: Work with the production manager and tool shop manager to provide a flexible tool making service to the business. Make a variety of tools, from press to precision, often with great intricacy. Repair and refurb tools as required. Work on special projects for clients, including manufacture of components. The successful Tool Maker will have the following skills and experience: Manual / conventional machining experience to include Milling, Turning and Grinding. CNC setting and operating experience, and ideally programming. Experience in a variety of tool making disciplines, and of manufacturing short runs of prototype or urgent and intricate components for clients.
