Job Duties · Establish, develop, own and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers at board-level or equivalent across the portfolio, understanding their tactical and strategic goals, attending formal and informal meetings. · Own the retention strategy when a client is ‘at risk’, escalating when required. · Ensure client records, meeting notes, relationships status etc. is well maintained on the CRM system. · Proactively ensure that all new business, profitable restructure and cross-selling opportunities are identified and progressed in a timely manner, thus ensuring maximisation of sales penetration and market share. · Participate in the delivery of growth targets across the portfolio, as set by DC senior leadership team in order to ensure the continued success of the division. · Work closely in support of other DC Pensions Distribution team colleagues where required by representing the Client Management function as part of the team maximising new business opportunities at pitches and/or site visits. · Provide feedback and engage appropriately with other areas within DC (Product, Client Communications, Change, Operations) to ensure there is an appropriate range of products and services to meet the needs of existing clients, leading to the delivery of the DC targets and growth strategy. · Maximise cost effectiveness and employer satisfaction by implementing best practice in all aspects of the management of client portfolio, working with employers to pilot and report back appropriately on new initiatives in terms of our proposition and customer experience programme and ensuring all activity undertaken in fulfilling the role considers the fair treatment of the end customer. · Personally maintain a good knowledge of DC Pensions products, proposition and processes, keep abreast of legislative developments and other market activity in order to be able to discuss relevant topics in an informed manner and to understand and influence client employee benefit decisions. Skills Required Qualifications: Professional qualifications in relation to the role are desirable for example PMI, Certificate in Financial Planning, IMC. Knowledge: · Experience and knowledge of DC product solutions and marketplace. · Corporate client relationship management experience in a product provider, asset manager or EBC/significant intermediary. · Good understanding of investments, able to articulate at a high-level the performance of the funds. Skills: · Demonstrable communication/presentation skill – previous client facing meeting and presentational experience at a senior level within significant employers and intermediaries/partners is a requirement, as is the ability to articulate and convey information in a clear and compelling manner in writing and in person. · Ability to listen to client issues, understanding their challenges and leveraging DC to address/resolve these issues.
