Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be working for a fast-paced manufacturing business in Pontefract. The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will report into the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance on all machinery across the site. This role is an immediate start and is on a fixed term 6 month contract basis. The role may go permanent if suitable for both parties. Working Hours: Continental shift pattern - 4 on 4 off (2 days and 2 nights) Benefits: 28 holiday days Pension Scheme In-depth training provided Salary: £35,500 Mechanical Maintenance Engineer duties and responsibilities include: Carry out routine, planned preventative and breakdown maintenance on conveyors, screens, crushers and automated blowing/sorting machines Carry out safety checks on plant and equipment as required Create and maintain effective working relations with all key stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of duties The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering Preventative and reactive Mechanical Maintenance Experience Experience of working in a manufacturing environment - either food or heavy industry If you want to discuss this position in more detail, please call Kerry Hill at Elevation Recruitment Group.
