Engineering Manager - Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager, working for a market leading manufacturer based locally to Nantwich, Cheshire. Our client is a well-established company with over 30 years of manufacturing experience. The purpose of this job role is to ensure key projects and engineering duties are fulfilled while also increasing plant efficiency. As an engineering manager you will be responsible for solving any engineering issue that comes up in a project as well as answering technical questions, proposing budgets for projects, training new employees, and working with various other departments. A good engineering manager understands the needs of both sides and how to maintain the balance between them. This means keeping the team on task and within budgets and deadlines. It also means knowing what the team needs — the time, resources and working environment — and meeting those needs. Key Responsibilities: Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. Analyse technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. Increasing plant efficiency and reducing costs. Handles training of employees; assign, direct and evaluate their work. To transition the factory into a more modern environment with a forward way of thinking. Oversee and manage 7 mechanical/electrical engineers with a variety of ages. Key Requirements: Proven experience of implementing successful change within an engineering background Has extensive technical knowledge Effective leadership, people management skills and ability to work effectively in teams. Able to delegate duties throughout a team effectively A minimum of 5 years' experience in Engineering Management
