Overview

We have an exclusive and unique opportunity with the modular housing division of a FTSE 100 company which has the vision to revolutionise the industry while improving society. You’d be joining in the early stages – the company’s first flagship project is moving to site this year with capacity to produce over 3,000 homes per year from the first factory before opening others. You will be joining an in-house design team based at the factory itself formed 18 months ago which has grown to 20 people consisting of architecture, M&E, civil/structural, product development and BIM. As the first development technician joining this early in the process, there is the opportunity to shape the development function of the business through implementing processes etc. along with the challenge and variety of creating new designs. There are excellent progression opportunities within the team which is due to double in size in the next 18 months. The Development Architectural Technician will be working on both design and project coordination. From a design perspective this will include producing site layouts, house type drawings, standard details, producing specifications and street scenes in both autocad and Revit (full Revit training provided). From the coordination side you will be chairing design meetings, attending site, liaising with authorities, and working closely with inhouse teams such as commercial and construction.
