New Variety Development Manager £Great + Bens Our client is an expanding wholesale packaging operation committed to quality in a customer-focused industry. They have built an exceptional reputation by combining many years of expertise with modern production and processing techniques, supporting local sourcing with a focus on quality. They are currently going through a phase of significant capital investment to fuel and support growth opportunities. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Management of the Trials Areas Liaising with plant breeders and identifying new varieties for trials Arranging to rapidly test, assess and help commercialise new varieties Arrange the supply of trials plant material prior to commercialisation Communicating trials results and new information to a variety of growers and colleagues about new varieties PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensure that agronomic and plant type trials are carried out to a high standard at the trials sites Ensure consistency within the trials sites and in relation to commercial practice Ensure that data collection and publication of varietal trial results are carried out to a high standard at the trials sites Assess new technologies that may improve function of the trials sites Manage and plan the budget for trials Assist with Open Days at the Trials Areas Liaise with other stakeholders to determine the most relevant trials and develop trials site research Assist co-ordination of on-farm variety trials Liaise with the Technical Team to ensure that samples of interesting new varieties are sent to retailers for their assessment Communication of new variety trials information to all growers and other colleagues, especially the Sales Account Managers, Technical Team and the Agronomy Team At KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
