Overview

Pratap Partnership are recruiting a qualified UK Finance Manager for a UK market leader based in Chesterfield. The Job: Reporting to the Region North Finance Director, this role manages the Reporting, Treasury, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions for the UK LPG Finance team. It includes responsibility for UK management reporting, SOX controls and compliance, indirect tax, systems management and annual statutory accounts provision. Duties will include: Timely and accuracy of reporting including management accounts, statutory accounts, indirect taxes etc Accountable for end-to-end Accounting Services processes, ensure Accounting Services processes and controls operate effectively, efficiently and on a timely basis. Developing and managing talent within the team - skills & strengths with monthly strength/development talks (and performance management - FM assisted) Project delivery - process improvement, Finance delivery of North projects or business initiatives, UK delivery of central UGI projects as required Preparation of month end reports for internal stakeholders and international reporting purposes Variance analysis for local, hub and international stakeholders Ensuring all reporting submission deadlines are met Oversee completion of the month end timetable by the reporting team Reviewing reports and gaining sign off from the appropriate senior stakeholders. Undertaking further investigations and corrections where required in response to the review. Support the preparation of statutory accounts including main financial statements, notes and narratives for multiple UK entities Key point of contact for external audit around provision of audit evidence and analytical reviews Work with other members of the Finance team around technical updates Prepare UK Corporation Tax pack Oversee production and submission of Indirect tax returns Monitor ongoing UK tax developments to ensure ongoing compliance Effective operation of Treasury, AR and AP processes via management of team, review of controls and KPIs Oversee and guide the work of the Financial Accountant and Assistant Accountant ensuring knowledge share and training Continually work to develop the processes, controls and information produced by the reporting team to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness JDE Super User Manage JDE support call log, resolving issues internally or escalating to external support provider where appropriate Co-ordinate JDE Change Request process in conjunction with the IT team Collate procedures for JDE maintenance tasks Represent the department at project meetings e.g. cylinder migration project and co-ordinate any actions allocated to the Reporting Team Ensure completion and full documentation of monthly SOX management controls and periodic reviews of Information Produced by the Entity (IPE) Other ad hoc duties as required The Person: Strong knowledge share, capable manager and developer of talent Ability to prioritise tasks, make decisions under pressure and escalate as appropriate Passion for accounting, compliance and controls Highly approachable with strong stakeholder expertise - influence / relationship management Strong analytical skills - Proactive problem solver/ solution provider Drive for change, process implementation and adherence / CI focus Operates and acts professionally, with a collaborative and flexible style Strong planning and organisation skills; able to prioritise, to handle complexity and competing demands from a diverse range of stakeholders From mid-sized/Corp background (US parent desirable) Strong technical UK reporting experience (US knowledge a bonus) Full CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualification Microsoft Pro Excel and Powerpoint skills Benefits: In return for the above company offers competitive salary plus additional benefits
