Junior-Mid Java Developer - Cambridge We are partnered with a global AI company focused on the healthcare/life science market to join their team, who are looking for a Junior-Mid Developer to join their team. Overview of the daily routine/duties of the role - Developing new components for our innovative platform for solving problems with large volumes of text-based data - Developing rapid prototypes to test potential approaches in areas such as text mining, machine learning, graph technology, or others suited to your skill set - Working with customers and partners to integrate multiple APIs in data workflows. - Testing and documenting the above - Working to deliver exceptional customer support Mandatory Technical Skills - Experience of developing and deploying Java solutions - Familiarity with Spring framework with an interest in working with Spring Boot - The ability to design and build unit-tested, modular code and deploy and run it on Linux servers locally or in the cloud - Experience with building RESTful web services - Flexibility and autonomy - An understanding of Agile software development process and software management/deployment tools such as maven, git, docker, AWS, Jenkins etc Desirable Skills - ElasticSearch - AWS knowledge, ideally Cloud Formation if possible. - Basic web front end experience using JavaScript and libraries such as JQuery and/or using a current framework (e.g. Angular, React.js) - An interest in Machine Learning / AI or some experience with common toolkits This job was originally posted as www.cwjobs.co.uk/job/89937438
