Lead Linux Engineer - FinTech - London Our client is one of the world's leading trading and financial technology (FinTech) companies, based in central London in new offices overlooking the Thames. They build cutting edge trading solutions and are looking to hire an experienced engineer to lead their Platform, Linux and DevOps Engineering function. You'll have the chance to lead and mentor a team of engineers and act as a technical SME for platform and infrastructure engineering across the business. You'll be able to work with a wide range of tools and tech covering Linux, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet and Terraform, Docker and both AWS and GCP. They have one of the world's most sophisticated trading infrastructures - an exceptional challenge The environment is constantly evolving and you'll be tasked with innovating and driving change in a mission-critical infrastructure through automation, the CI/CD pipeline, agile and DevOps methods and the development of bespoke tools - not something to miss Requirements: - Proven experience of Linux and / or DevOps / SRE engineering - Experience leading and mentoring others - Strong knowledge of core infrastructure and networking concepts - Good Cloud experience (AWS and / or GCP) - Excellent understanding of tools such as Ansible, Puppet Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform etc. - Scripting experience with Python and / or Perl would be ideal This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89920341
