Technical Author Permanent Position Competitive Salary Benefits Leading Aerospace Business West Midlands Our client is a leader in providing aircraft braking systems to a diverse group of customers including Aerospace, Governments, Military operations as well as distributors. Currently looking for a Technical Author, with experience or knowledge of the Aviation standards, to join their ever-successful team. Technical Author Job Description · Preparing technical publications / product information for both customers and internal staff · Preparing Handover Pack / Operation Guide information on use of products · Communicate and update status of activities using appropriate databases and/or any other agreed methods · Plan, organise and control their activities to ensure on-time delivery and quality of their output · Assist in the preparation of project management plans for major tasks and work to their cost and schedule. · Interface with internal and external customers and contractors. · Actively participate as a member of the Department and/or programme development teams Technical Author Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience · Must have experience working within the Aerospace industry and/or experience with Aviation standards (ATA iSpec 2200 etc.) · Ability to write reports and technical documents · Must be able to read engineering and supplier drawings and adapt them into publications · Experience with XML, SGML · Competent in use of ASD STE-100 Simplified Technical English · Good planning, organisational, analytical, interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills · Good project management skills This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89813532
