Trust Management Accountant - Working under the CFO - Temp to Perm Your new company A large Educational academy trust with a mission to provide an inspirational and creative education for all pupils which relates their learning to the wider world, provides experiences which broaden horizons, and enables children and young people to develop the skills needed for success and personal fulfilment and well-being. Your new role The main focus for this post holder will be to prepare trust-wide management accounts, liaise with finance staff to ensure month end timetables are adhered to and obtain explanations to support financial data. Your duties will involve (but not be limited to) : - Month end close down processes - Month end management accounts reporting - Common chart of accounts - General Financial procedures for academies to comply with the academies financial handbook - Internal controls within individual academies and across the Trust - Accounts timetable and data requirements - Other data request to support Trustee's. - Building a relationship with the academy school lead and work closely with the CFO to hold schools accountable for delivery within their agreed budgets. What you'll need to succeed - Qualified or part qualified in an Accountancy qualification - Previous experience in trust education - Experience of operating and managing accounting systems - Experience of consolidating financial data - Experience of management reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
