Overview
Accounts & Finance Assistant Barker Munro Recruitment is working with an entrepreneurial insurance business in the picturesque Kent countryside and who are now looking to add an Accounts & Finance Assistant to their growing team. As the Accounts & Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the collection of monies from clients within the Company’s agreed credit period, whilst maintaining good relationships with those clients and with insurers. Reconciliation of insurer and all other supplier accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring settlement of agreed items, as per Terms of Business. Supplying timely and accurate management information to Directors and Managers. Other direct areas of responsibility will also include • Daily posting of receipts and payments, including daily maintenance and balancing of the cash book, reconciling payments with unpaid invoice records and daily banking into the Office and Client accounts. • Chasing clients for premiums • Reconciliation of bank accounts with cashbooks on a monthly basis. • To operate the credit control function, in conjunction with colleagues as appropriate, strictly within agreed Company procedures. • To maintain and operate the agreed diary procedure for chasing up outstanding debts. • Resolve any queries arising from clients, insurers or other suppliers in relation to outstanding debts. To be considered for the role of Accounts & Finance Assistant, you will ideally be already working in an accounts or Finance function and be comfortable working under some pressures in an accounts position. However, there is an experience team around you, so consideration will be given to individuals who are looking to move into an accounts role. If you have knowledge of spreadsheets, reconciliation and all round Finance duties, that would be fantastic. However, training will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and who have the desire to forge a career in this field.
