Overview

UniCarriers currently have a vacancy for a commercial property Cleaner/Caretaker. Working on a full-time basis in Thame, Oxfordshire, the successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of between £20,000 and £22,000 per annum. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Daily working hours are flexible, however, will be pre agreed between the hours of 6am and 9pm and the individual must be available to lock up after 6pm. Occasional weekend work may be required, for which an overtime premium will be paid. UniCarriers are a global manufacturer and supplier of industrial forklift trucks. Role Responsibilities As our Cleaner/Caretaker you will be responsible for the day to day cleaning, maintenance and security of the internal and external areas of the Head Office buildings, grounds and facilities. The cleaning part of the role will be 50-75% of each day. Specifically, this will include: - To be a designated key holder and to be responsible for the safe and secure closing of company premises, - Cleaning the building including the offices, communal areas, kitchens and toilets 4-6 hours a day; - Check and clear bin stores, sort recycling including pallets, metal etc.; - Routine building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, reattaching fire extinguishers etc. - Overseeing utilities including management of meter readings and access for specialists as required; - Painting repairs and making good when required; - Maintaining external areas such as the yard and car park; - Assessing maintenance issues and reporting building defects; - To respond to alarm and emergency calls outside of core hours- infrequent. - Carry out any other duties that may be applicable to the position Skills and Experience We are looking for a team player who will ensure that all our property and communal areas are clean, tidy and in a safe condition. Our Cleaner/Caretaker will take pride in consistently providing a high standard of service while demonstrating the ability to work off their own initiative and use common sense when making decisions. It is essential for the role that you hold a current, full UK driving licence and ideally you will live within a 30-minute commute.
