Job Title: Group Chief Nurse Company: Independent Clinical Services Division: Clinical Governance Location: Manchester / Birmingham Hours: Full Time, Permanent Salary: Circa £60,000 dependent on experience Are you a highly experienced Registered Nurse who is looking for their next challenge? Independent Clinical Services has an extremely exciting opportunity that has arisen for a person centered, care focused Group Chief Nurse to join us and lead our brand within Group clinical excellence and patient safety. Reporting to the Group Clinical Director, the Group Chief Nurse is responsible for providing best practice, senior clinical advice and excellent service to the Group’s trading brands and back office functions. This is a unique and varied role where you will also act as clinical liaison and support for Divisional Clinical leads and the Risk Management and Compliance Director. ICS Group is the number 1 UK provider of highly skilled and specialised workforce solutions and related services to the health, social care and life sciences segments Our Clinical Governance Team are at the heart of our business, so we will offer you: Fantastic company culture Optional charity involvement – Ambitious About Autism Great work/life balance Clear progression pathway Clinically tailored World Class Service Excellent rates of pay The opportunity to enhance your career by applying your transferable skills in a supported community-based setting Full induction programme and training Support with ongoing professional development Senior management support Strong internal support team with reward and recognition schemes Christmas and Summer parties and social events throughout the year Key tasks include: Act as senior clinical advisor for the divisional clinical & Quality leads Advise and where necessary lead escalated incidents and complaints Support the Group Clinical Director in serious cases as required Participate and when necessary chair the Clinical Advisory Group Be responsible for the Clinical Audit function Provide support, advice, review and sign off for clinical training Provide Best practice advice and lead clinical improvements Be responsible for Occupational Health and Pregnancy risk assessment reviews Undertake Clinical investigations Support Clinical review of tenders/contracts New policy development and sign off Provide advice for OH management referrals Attend and when necessary chair Quality and Safety meetings for each Division Deliver Clinical & Governance based training to internal staff Provide final approval and closure for incidents and complaints To deputise for the Group Clinical Director as required Skills and experience: 10 years Length of Nursing experience and Governance Experience of managing a department or business unit Excellent managerial skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels Passionate and committed to patient safety and wellbeing Ability to organise and prioritise own and business workload Strong interpersonal skills Ability to effectively manage and develop a team Advanced skill and competence in undertaking complex investigations
