Overview
Our client based in Leyton is seeking a skilled forklift driver with valid Reach Truck certificate to join them on an ongoing basis. We are looking for someone with experience working within a warehouse environment that holds valid certificate for Reach truck forklift by a recognised training body, we cannot accept in-house licences. They are a busy distribution centre in Leyton and are seeking someone that can start immediately. This is a very busy distribution centre and this will be a mixed role of forklift and warehouse duties so you will be expected to assist in other areas of the warehouse in addition to using forklift, duties will include use of fork truck for loading & unloading vehicles/containers, stacking of goods in warehouse, distribution of goods, manual stock control, picking, tidying up and general warehouse duties as instructed. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is paramount along with a proven work history of fork truck use. It is possible that successful applicants can be invited for interview and safety assessment on fork trucks prior to start. You must be reliable, a good timekeeper and a team player. A good level of literacy and numeracy is also required. Work is for 5 and a half days - Hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.30pm and either a Saturday or Sunday must be worked every weekend (half day), hourly rate £10.00. Pension and 28 days annual leave.
