We are currently looking for Activities Assistants to work with the Activities Supervisor in ensuring we provide the best activities schedule for our residents. As Activities Assistant at Wandsworth Common, you can benefit from: Earn £8.85 per hour Competitive pension scheme Refer a friend and get a cash bonus Staff social events Tailored training and study support programme Subsidised meals Flexible shifts Key responsibilities will be: Assist in organising and participating in key events held throughout the year, for example, the summer fete, seasonal celebrations, parties, charity events and so on. Consideration will be given to each resident's personal choices and support or care needs when developing home-based activity arrangements. Provide ongoing support for the residents, their families and the Care Services Team. Support resident and relative home meetings and participation forums, assisting the Activities Manager in developing a resident newsletter at least every three months. Creatively gain feedback from residents, their families and the staff team to ensure that the activities offered are relevant and meet the residents' needs and choices. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following: Leading workshops such as arts and crafts, drama or music sessions A background in working with elderly or young people in a community setting Baking An understanding dementia Event management skills As Activities Assistant at Wandsworth Common, you will be joining an extremely supportive team who all have the common goal of making our residents experience the best it can be.
