Overview
I am working with a Ministerial Department based in Bristol who re looking for an SC/DV Cleared Management Accountant for a 6 month contract to start ASAP. The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying £352.34 PAYE or £473.38 Umbrella per day. The role is in scope of IR35. THIS ROLE IS ONLY OPEN TO CANDIDATES WHO HOLD CURRENT/ACTIVE SC OR DV CLEARANCE. Requirement: Management Accountant required for establishing and embedding new EP reporting/forecasting processes for new teams which joined Corporate Domain in April 2019. This role will not suit anyone from a Financial Practise background. They are looking for someone with a blend of management accountant and general financial/ accounting experience that an auditor can understand. External audit experience will be very important for the first 2-3 months Description: Work with budget holders in ensuring the business understands the financials to make good commercial decisions and drive down costs Ensure shared understanding of cost drivers with budget holders and use this data to produce evidence based forecasts Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial positions support controls and governance to manage the resource provision Maintain a suitable trail for budget delegations, spend limits, procurement considerations, segregation of duties, compliance with standards and governance requirements. Ensure financial information provided to managers is robust to enable them to make informed decisions. Double Entry Journals, book keeping and reconciliation to balance sheets. General Ledger, Oracle and Financial Systems, High level of IT skills (excel to intermediate level as a minimum).
