Overview
Assistant Accountant job based in the Putney area, paying up to £35,000 Your new company A fast-growing manufacturing business are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. The company has a wealth of history and gone from strength to strength through a mixture of acquisitions and organic growth. Your new role You'll be responsible for providing accounting support to the Group Accounts Manager, working to a strict timetable to complete monthly accounts. There is also a requirement to provide assistance within the department for other Group Companies. In addition, you will be responsible for purchase ledger processing of supplier invoices to include coding and posting onto our ledger and liaising with suppliers. You will carry our supplier statement reconciliations and general ledger entry and monthly reconciliations. You will also be responsible for processing staff expenses, Multicurrency bank reconciliations, quarterly VAT Returns and petty cash. You will assist in year-end duties including, but not limited to, preparation of files for the annual audit. What you'll need to succeed Candidates will be hardworking with a driven attitude and desire to pursue a career in finance. Candidates must be confident working in a fast-paced environment have excellent processing skills and attention to detail with the initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work methodically under pressure to prioritise and manage your time to meet deadlines. What you'll get in return In return you will receive a competitive salary £28,000- £35,000 (depending on experience) and the opportunity to play a key role in finance providing key support and contribute to their culture to continuously improve performance and drive for excellence.
