Job Title: Decommissioning Business analyst - Inside IR35 £500.00 - Inside IR35 Guildford 6 months Job Description: To assist in the decommissioning and migration of key systems for a major multinational company, working with teams and stakeholders across multiple locations and functions. The purpose of the role is to enable organisational change by using specialised business analysis, change management skills and a disciplined business analysis approach. In addition, the purpose of the role is to identify, and help the business articulate, the need for change by defining requirements and recommending solutions that will maximise the value delivered by the business to its customers. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business and IT to contribute to the delivery of a varied portfolio of work. Key accountabilities -Applies best practice business analysis tools, techniques and standards as required, and supports the delivery of improvements to these through the Business Analysis Community of Practice -Works to understand existing business environment, business needs and elicit business requirements from stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Manages end-to-end clear traceability, maintenance, prioritisation, change control and approval mechanisms. -Supports translation of business requirements into viable business solutions in line with business objectives. -Supports the development, systems testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of solutions by working closely with solution partners, suppliers, and business stakeholders. -Learns from previous experience and understands how benefits have been delivered by participating in post-implementation reviews, lessons learned sessions and knowledge share/peer reviews. Skills & Experience Technical skills -Skills in the following oBusiness process flow mapping and creation oRequirement gathering and stakeholder engagement within a fixed scope oBusiness change process oRequirements definition and traceability oBenefit mapping oUnderstanding of data retention/deletion oUnderstanding of data analysis and archiving Experience -Strong experience of user migration and system decommissioning -Experience of applying data retention and deletion rules to complex systems -Experience in creating data archives for long term storage and access of data -Experience of data analysis to identify business critical fields -Strong experience of influencing and managing stakeholders up to senior level -Strong ability to work with stakeholders to define and finalise business requirements -Flexible and adaptable with a drive to get the right result and overcoming challenges -Experience with waterfall methods of working preferred -Experience of working in a business analysis role on projects of varying complexity - ideally within the Insurance / Financial Services industry. -Experience and understanding of how businesses operate and key drivers for change. -Experience in measuring and monitoring Benefits -A robust understanding of the full Project / Systems Development life cycle and associated methodologies. -A good appreciation of the wider field of IT systems (architecture, hardware and software), their use in relevant business processes and how they are implemented to meet business objectives. -High degree of organisation, task planning and time management. -Excellent communication skills - verbal and written - and MS Office, MS Visio. -Experience of planning and facilitating workshops of varying size. -Expertise in defining and leading business analysis approaches within waterfall methodologies from business change and systems development perspectives. -Application of recognised industry standard modelling techniques -Experience and/or certification in project management methods are desirable -Experience with Agile desirable Qualifications -Educated to degree level or holder of further professional qualifications and experience - Desirable -'A' Level education or equivalent - Essential -BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent - Desirable
