Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and self-motivated Finance Assistant on an initial 6-month fixed term contract basis. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key part of the Management Accountants team, aiding our Healthcare and Local Government divisions. Main duties: Work with the Management Accountants to assist with monthly accounts preparation Reconciling intercompany balances Posting Fixed Assets and depreciation, maintaining the Fixed Asset Registers Posting and recording Accruals and prepayments Reconciling bank balances, Trade Debtors and Trade Creditors Posting payroll journals Updating WIP schedule for new and completed jobs, assisting with revenue calculations, completing year end procedures and assist with the preparation of statutory accounts Assisting with the analysis and interpretation of financial data Support the preparation of annual budgets Assist in the delivery of key implementation projects within the finance team Finance Assistant | Balance Sheet | Sage 200 | Excel VLOOKUP | Finance | Asset Management | Analysis | Bank Reconciliation | Accounts | Accounting | Budget | Payroll | Year End Benefits At Servelec, we do not just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products and our community. Essential Skills Proven experience of working within a similar role. Experience of maintaining a balance sheet. Have previously used Sage 200 or similar accounting tools. Strong Excel VLOOKUP skills. The ability to proactively contribute within a project team working environment. Customer focused and highly organised. Can work independently but also works well within a small team.
