Overview
Job Title: Sous Chef Salary: £28,000 Location: City of London Who will you be working for? A modern, boutique gastro pub that offers 7 guestrooms based in the heart of the City of London. Serving an all-day dining menu, the food offering is modern British gastropub fare in addition to a relaxed breakfast menu, all cooked fresh on site, reflecting the seasons and inspired by London’s famous produce markets. What are we looking for? A Sous Chef who has a passion for working with the best seasonal produce. You’ll need to be creative and enjoy creating daily specials, in addition to being comfortable working to company specs. As the Head Chef’s second in command, the ideal candidate will already be working as a Sous Chef within a similar gastropub environment and have a strong grasp of all areas of kitchen management and food safety policies. Desirable Qualities: Currently be a Sous Chef within a premium branded or independent gastro pub Have a flair for menu writing and enjoy working with fresh, seasonal ingredients Possess excellent communication skills and able to lead a kitchen brigade in the Head Chef’s absence Have excellent knowledge of health & hygiene policies and procedures Be fully flexible with working hours as some morning shifts may be required Does this sound like the job for you?
