Senior Engineer - Support Engineering (RCM)
Overview
Senior Engineer - Support Engineering (RCM) You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of our programmes and projects, helping us to design, develop, integrate, manage and support complex systems and sub-systems for in service and future submarines. You will work within a team of engineers and technical specialists to understand and influence the inputs, flow of decisions and dependencies that will impact system design and product delivery. Your main responsibilities as a Senior Engineer - Support Engineering (RCM) will involve: Participation in, and the conduct of, Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) studies, populating the WinUMMS toolkit in accordance with DEFSTAN 00-045 and BR1313A methodology. Identification of RCM Candidates and production of operating contexts from a RCM perspective, researching information on the relevant assets under review to complete the RCM study. Additionally, you will act as the RCM technical expert, providing clarity on the process and methodology during the RCM Study workshops. Evaluating the impact of Engineering Change on Support Engineering outputs and deliverables, Initiating amendments to Maintenance Task Instructions (MTI) as a result of design change. Assisting the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) and Tech Documentation teams in the production of MTIs. Providing appropriate Support Engineering knowledge and documentation to support Engineering Design Reviews. Administering the UMMS (maintenance management system) database ensuring maintenance is scheduled in line with the Submarine build test and commissioning plan. Provision of weekly reports on the status of maintenance on the Submarines in build and production of look ahead reports for future management planning. Your skills and qualifications: Essential: Degree in STEM discipline or equivalent experience Experience within Integrated Logistics Support/Reliability Centred Maintenance Navy Maintenance engineering background Desirable: Working knowledge of Support Engineering tools such as EAGLE and UMMS. An understanding of AR&M (Availability, Reliability and Maintainability) and RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) Member of an appropriate professional institution, working towards Incorporated status.
