Automation Tester | Nr Exeter | up to circa £50,000 If you would be happy to consider relocating to the South West of England, we would like to hear from you Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with an Information Technology & Services company based Nr Exeter as they look to add talent to their software development team. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure that existing automated tests are maintained and updated and that new automated tests are developed and used wherever practical. Test Automation Specialists who are proficient with Selenium webdriver and Java and can use Selenium with Python; coupled with a track record of developing testing frameworks and incorporating automated UI tests into CI/CD pipelines will be sought after. THE BASICS: Test Automation Specialists who can review, revise and maintain existing automated regression tests to ensure that they remain effective and can review functional specifications and design documents to develop automated tests where appropriate will be of interest. Performing API testing using appropriate tools whilst providing progress reports at regular intervals and at the end of a project will make up part of your job role. Candidates with experience with test management tools and other aspects of Quality Assurance will also get involved in creating the automated testing approach and executing various types of automated tests. As an experienced software testing professional, you should have an excellent track record of quality improvement of the products you have worked on. THE SKILLS: Previous commercial experience in a Test Automation Specialist role and of network architectures, application frameworks, APIs and webservices and good time-management skills will hold you in good stead. A good understanding of networks and WiFi networking concepts and knowledge of various development methodologies ( SCRUM, KANBAN, Waterfall, TDD/BDD ) is also important. THE NICE TO HAVES: Knowledge of any of the following would be an advantage: Performance testing with Jmeter or similar Security testing (OWASP) Mobile automation testing (Appium) AWS Jira and Confluence Postman Jenkins BDD & Cucumber THE BENEFITS: As the successful candidate, you will receive 30 days holiday per year (including bank holidays), company healthcare scheme, life assurance, bonus scheme, gym membership and & enrolment in the company pension scheme.
