Your Business Area In Global Engineering we build innovative concepts from fledgling ideas, then make them a reality. We scope, plan and execute major capital projects across all our operation sites, always with sustainability in focus. With the autonomy to run projects and implement advanced technologies, we establish strong and positive partnerships with customers to build facilities that align with requirements and exceed expectations. In this frontline technology role our team steers the technical and digital requirements for pharmaceutical facility capital projects. We also support ongoing operations with technical support addressing process control and operational problems as the need arises. What you'll do Working as a Global Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the technical aspects of Automation and digital integration on various capital projects. This whilst translating our business goals into robust technical solutions. Another part of the role is to establish core automation requirements on capital projects, ensuring that strategically-aligned systems are specified and delivered as planned. Important is also your work with providing design assurance and technical feedback during capital project design - through concept, design and execution. Essential requirements For this role you need to be a specialist in Automation and/or Process Control, having extensive knowledge and significant experience within the field. You have a good general understanding of IT technologies used in the operation and support of manufacturing equipment. You are a skilled communicator, you can influence internal and external business leaders and partners. Additionally, you have: * Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) * In-depth technical and operational knowledge of Automation systems (SCADA/PLC), plant Automation and laboratory Automation systems * Knowledge of current GMP regulations, regulatory agency expectations and current industry practices * Experience in specification, installation, start up and commissioning of automation systems * Experience in a commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing or development environment * Confident, professionalboth written and verbal skills (UK role: English, Sweden role: Swedish and English) * Experience of capital project delivery from business case development through project execution Desirable requirements * Experience with MES, EBR, Historian and OEE platforms * Chartered or Professional Licensed Engineer (not applicable for Sweden-based applicants) We're searching for two new colleagues, one is based in Macclesfield and one in Sodertalje.
