As a result of strong sales, continued investment both in technology and our people, we are looking to appoint an Engineering Project Leader / Project Co-ordinator to play a pivotal role supporting our Project Manager. The projects you will support will typically be high value defence & commercial projects working with some prestigious clients on ground breaking new technology. As Engineering Project Leader you will undertake a varied, technical role with responsibility for managing the day to day co-ordination of new projects (NPI). This will primarily be in support of a number of concurrent new / conceptual projects alongside some provision to our current product range. The role will be highly varied with strong emphasis on creative and commercial acumen (as well as your engineering expertise) as you will act as the main point of contact for customers and suppliers on project matters and as well as being the main link between all the internal departments. As Project Leader / Project co-ordinator key responsibilities will include: Supporting the creation & maintenance of the NPI project schedule, with input from internal departments to fulfil project requirements. Monitoring project costs, risks, schedules, task completion and deliveries against the project plan. Take ownership for reporting on current status and flagging up any foreseen problem areas to the program manager to ensure milestones are met To succeed in this varied role you will ideally be: Degree qualified or similar in a mechanical, electronic, electrical or related engineering discipline coupled with Design / Development / Project Engineering experience working on electro-mechanical products. First class co-ordination and communication skills are essential Prior Project Engineering or Project Management exposure and experience of working within a design and manufacturing environment on mechanical or electrical products sought.
