The Role:- A key member of our team, as Contactum’s Quality Manager, you will help to drive the quality culture within the business, innovating the process and ensuring we maintain our ISO9001 accreditation. You will implement quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of materials (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and manufacturing goals). You will also work on process improvement programmes and put forward ideas for bringing innovation into the existing system. Key Areas of Responsibility:- Your Quality Mission will be to: Develop the quality Policy, quality objectives and Key Performance Indicators, acting independently to ensure that the quality objectives are met. Prepare and implement the quality plan and Quality Assurance and Control procedures. Define and agree testing standards in conjunction with Contactum’s manufacturing and engineering functions. Arrange / ensure timely inspection of all materials (raw, semi-finished and finished) delivered to sites. Arrange / ensure performance / functional testing on all stages of production/raw materials as per procedures and applicable work instructions. Ensure the effective control of non-conforming products at all stages of production as per procedure and ensure effectiveness of corrective actions. Ensure that all testing and measuring instruments are calibrated as per defined standards, reviewing standards regularly to ensure alignment with regulations. Lead effective preventive actions. Handle and maintain quality records related to product manufacture. Handle and maintain traceability of items where needed. Lead the SAP Quality Module implementation and ongoing development. Understand customer specifications and implications for the internal quality programme. Quality Performance Monitoring Monitor performance by collecting meaningful data and producing statistical reports with recommendations. ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Direct the ISO 9001 program and help sustain a transparent and progressive culture of continual improvement. Lead all aspects of the Quality Program ISO 9001 including critical review and ongoing evolution. Lead audits by external bodies and run the internal audit schedule ensuring any non-conformances have corrective actions identified and closed out. Qualifications & Experience Required: Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Mathematics and English (or equivalent). A recognised auditor experienced in ISO 9001 Preferably studied at Degree level Ideally 3-5 years’ experience in a similar work environment. Excellent communication skills with ability to positively influence stakeholders. Sound understanding and practical application of Quality Management Systems. Experience with SAP Quality Module Preferred or similar system Knowledge of manufacturing environment (electrical accessories an advantage).
