Job Title: Personal Assistant Location: Croydon Hourly rate: £15 per hour/£18 if self-employed. Reference: CC164 Hours/shifts: Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday 10am-4pm. Summary • I am a 20 year old young adult looking for support to get out and about in the community • I am fun, giggly and love music, looking for someone who shares my interests. • I like to keep active and go for walks and the occasional run in my local park, ideally looking for someone who will be able to keep up. • I require a driver with their own car. • The successful applicant will be patient and understanding. • Starting rate £15 per hour/£18 per hour if you are self-employed (subject to appropriate checks). • This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided Other Requirements • "Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9." • Must be comfortable with cats • Must have a UK driving licence • Must have access to own vehicle • Other : All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts. Description Typical duties Domestic - Any other domestic tasks you want to add in? Preparing drinks, snacks and meals Shopping Personal Care: • Washing and bathing/showering - towelling dry/ drying hair • Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required • Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required • Prompt and help me to brush my teeth • Using the toilet • Change pads when required • Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings Social: • Accompany and assist me on shopping trips when required • Accompany me when accessing the local park • Accompany and assist me on shopping trips when required Person specification The successful applicant will be: • Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality • Reliable with good time-keeping • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative • Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties • Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills • Honest and cheerful • Creative • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard • Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom • Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
