Overview

Marks Sattin UK are working in partnership with a high growth leading property development business based in the Midlands. Due to exponential growth, the business has an exciting opportunity for an assured Qualified Accountant to assume the role of Financial Planning & Investment Analyst. Working as part of the Corporate Team, under the leadership of the Chief Executive, this individual will be responsible for the day to day financial planning and analysis activities for the organisation, providing the Senior Leadership Team with detailed insight into the financial performance of the business as well as specific risks and opportunities. Financial analysis and modelling to support future acquisitions including commentary to highlight key investment drivers i.e. IRR, Debt, Interest etc. Support on any due diligence processes for future acquisitions as well as support in the co-ordination of information gathering i.e. market research for new investment opportunities. Responsible for preparing rolling weekly and monthly cash forecasting - understand and improve the working capital cycle, enhancing the cash balance and maximising ROCE. Drive a culture of maximising profitability within the business, providing challenge on sales and costs. Identification of complex matters/risks within appraisal i.e. 3rd party funding, JV structures, VAT treatment, and Revenue recognition. Ensure that full site life reviews (cost and revenues) are undertaken on a monthly basis to ensure accurate blended margin profit recognition. Regular financial reporting and insight for existing developments as well as provision of robust and accurate monthly management accounts and associated analysis. Requirements: Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) - Ideally having trained in Audit or Advisory at a large professional accountancy firm. Experience of financial reporting at Executive/Board level. Able to solve complex problems. High level of commercial acumen. Ability to support and challenge in equal measure, pushing back as required. Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to effectively speak in public settings. Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
