Overview
The Project Production Planner will oversee and support the Production Planning process and be responsible for service delivery. They will support Production Management in optimising OTIF performance across the group; and help ensure material flow, production and dispatch targets are met. Based near Dewsbury, Batley, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire Key roles and objectives: Supports and engages with all Materials and Planning activities Be a driving force for the development of processes and people Provide day to day practical help/input in the scheduling and planning of tasks Ensure continuity for critical planning duties and provide 1st line support when required Provide practical/technical support for the planning process and team Reports daily, weekly and monthly dispatch & picking figures Adopts/develops best practice for the Material & Planning processes with the aim of improving efficiency, visibility and overall performance Has oversight of daily scheduling activities and takes the lead in decision making on changes affecting lead times, customer requirements and service delivery Identifies potential delays and manages adjustments on schedules to meet deadlines and commitments Oversees and ensures the management of stock and helps review volume requirements ensuring continuous supply of bought out components to production Assists on the negotiation of bought out prices with suppliers Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Maintain the accuracy of information/master data related to planning and purchasing stored on the ERP and Scheduler systems. Experience: Strong planning experience in a production environment is essential Customer focused supply chain experience Strong knowledge of MRP and other Materials Management techniques Knowledge of lean principals Knowledge & understanding of day to day planning/production activities & concepts manufacturing principles Have previous experience as a Project Production Planner / Production Planner Have production planning experience from FMCG, Food Production, Manufacture and/or engineering What's on Offer? £25000 - £30,000 Pension Holiday If you want to discuss this position in more detail, please contact Elevation Recruitment Group.
