Overview

Management Accountant We are a family owned manufacturing business who have been trading for nearly 40 years, supplying high profile internet, trade and multi-chain department store customers. We are looking for a full time Management Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be qualified in either CIMA or ACCA although high calibre part qualified would be considered, and must have at least 8 years' worth of experience. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial. As Management Accountant you will be based in our South Birmingham factory reporting initially to the Managing Director. The modern factory has free parking and set within an industrial estate alongside a nature reserve. Job Description: Prepare financial statements for internal and external use, e.g. VAT returns, department accounts and budgets, government statistics, financial analysis and reporting. To supply KPI’s for all department using management data To supply the Non-Conformity reports using management data Maintain accurate and live cashflow documents Responsible for company wages Responsible for first stage banking Responsible for two accounts staff Forecasting and budget management of accounts Forecasting and budget management for overhead Financial analysis and reconciliations Maintain records and support annual audit requirements Ad hoc reporting for managers The successful applicant with have: CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or finalist Previous experience as a Management Accountant of at least 8 years Demonstrable experience of budgeting and forecasting Strong IT skills Prepared to undertake professional development, as appropriate Good numeracy skills Good communication skills (oral and written) Knowledge of Health & Safety issues. Strong Multitasking, and self-prioritizing skills Good time management/meets deadlines. Job type Permanent Full time - 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 20 days holiday a year plus bank holidays Salary will be commensurable with experience
