Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader within the Oil & Gas sector. In this position, you would be the Regional Legal & Compliance Officer for the African region and parts of Europe. You would be the point of contact for all legal & compliance issues, disputes, investigations and training. Your Responsibilities Lead all legal & compliance advice/counsel on matters across the regions. Design and implement legal & compliance policies and procedures across the regions. Act as the 'subject matter expert' for legal & compliance matters with the relevant business lines. When needed, find and manage outside counsel Stay up-to-date on relevant legal & compliance regulatory changes in the region and detemine their potential impact on the business. Investigate potential breaches of the Code of Conduct. Manage due diligene of third parties. Oversee the regional responsibilities of any enforcement actions. Your Requirements Master's Degree in Law (or equivalent). At least 6 years of experience within the legal & compliance field. Legal/Compliance experience covering Africa. Languages: English is essential. Portuguese would be a strong plus. French and Spanish would be useful Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.
