plant PROCUREMENT BUYER - PLANT PROTEIN/ MEAT FREE - FOOD MANUFACTURING - MIDDLESEX - £35-42k 25% BONUS PACKAGE Following the launch of a new 'plant-based' protein brand and huge global expansion, my client is looking to take on a junior procurement professional to manage a £12m ingredient spend in a new greenfield area of the business. Operating out of their global HQ in West London, the procurement buyer will have the opportunity to work in a newly created brand, sourcing and developing relationships with key suppliers and working cross-functionally with NPD to design new product launches in a fast-moving and innovative category. The buyer will have full ownership over this category with the ability to develop and implement sourcing and category strategies with the category manager. Procurement Buyer role profile: Work alongside the category manager to develop and execute the plant-protein sourcing strategy Understand the market to source new protein suppliers to support the implementation of NPD and ensure continuity of supply in a fast paced industry Competitor scanning and market analysis of evolving plant protein industry Act as an essential Project Team member to support NF's aggressive plans on New Product Development and Launches across Europe Meet, visit, assess and onboard new suppliers to support the plant-protein agenda Work closely with Factories, Local Business Units and their planning teams to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels, to be able to assess ongoing and future supply requirement Procurement Buyer requirements: Passion for the food industry 2-3 year experience as an established buyer Good understanding and professional experience of purchasing contracts Experience of Cost Modelling/ Developing Sourcing Strategy Change agility and flexible styles when working with different stakeholders If you're a procurement professional looking for your next challenge or keen to move into the food industry then please send your updated CV across to Shiva at more information.
