Overview
A combination of new work and promotion has created the need for a commercial based Accountant/ Auditor to Manager level to join this modern and dynamic firm in Newcastle as they continue to expand. Playing a supporting role to the Partners this is a golden opportunity to join at either newly qualified senior, assistant manager or manager level. With recent growth they are looking to find someone who can enter at any of these levels with the aim of progression upto Partner level for the ambitious type. We are looking for someone with strong technical audit knowledge who can apply this, but is able to work across a wider platform transitioning their experience from audit to include not only leadership, workflow, business development, client engagement and workshops to name but a few. The firms client base is varied, both large corporate groups, individual companies, SME’s and not for profit and charities, giving you the chance to either broaden your client base or choose to specialise in a key sector. No two weeks will look the same, some weeks will see you spend a day out on site overseeing and reviewing audit files (local based only) and attending a network seminar or drinks, whilst others will see you involved in organising team events, client planning and closing meetings, marketing, writing blogs, delivery workshops to clients and developing your staff. You will act as key contact for a number of your clients and be confident to lead your team with regular meetings, take responsibility for billing and recoveries and enjoy involvement in business development for the practice. Whilst this role might appear to be audit, it offers so much more and provides perfect progression to develop broader accounting and management skills. We are looking to consider ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified Accountants with technical audit and accounting experience from an accountancy firm who can demonstrate the ambition and attitude to want to progress to a broader role.Whether your a Senior or Manager we would like to talk to you and tell you more about the position.
