Overview

Qualified Social Workers - Cardiff, Bridgend, Barry, Caerphilly, Pontypridd. IOS Care are currently seeking Qualified Social Workers for local authorities throughout South Wales. Adults Early Interventions Team (Older People) Children’s- Family Support & Protection Adults - Learning Disabilities Children - Learning Disabilities Successful Social workers will be working with individuals and families to support them through challenging times and ensure that vulnerable people, including children and adults are safeguarded from harm. Your role is to provide support and help in order to improve outcomes in people's lives. Duties: Identify people who need help Assess client’s needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals Help clients adjust to changes and challenges in their lives Research and refer clients to community resources Help clients work with government agencies to apply for and receive benefits Respond to crisis situations such as child abuse Advocate for and help clients get resources that would improve their well-being Follow up with clients to ensure that their situations have improved Evaluate services provided to ensure that they are effective Skills: Patience and the ability to remain calm in a crisis Resilience Flexible and able to adapt Strong observation, analytical and listening skills The ability to negotiate, mediate and interpret on behalf of service users Good organisational skills All Social workers will need either an honours or a postgraduate degree in social work . The degree will need to be approved by Health and Care Professions Council ( HCPC ).
